Thief's Theme

I was listening to Shaka Pitts' radio show recently and the issue of a local "producer" who stole a beat from the site JamGlue came up. He was quoted saying that he "only stole one." Damn son, that's one too many! So I'm thinking how many other yo's are out there stealing beats and passing them off as theirs?? I know my homegirl found out her boyfriend didn't actually make a lot of beats that he said he did and on WorldStar there is at least one disgruntled producer once a month that says somebody stole a beat from them. Don't get me wrong we come from a culture and a society of taking shit but somebodies whole work and creative property...that's over the line. Maybe take a drum....of course we sample....but the whole beat and try to pass it off as your own...YOU FAIL! Hand in your beat making badge, clean out your locker, you're done!

THANK YOU, MANAGEMENT

DRAG

So uhhh...what do you use to make beats.

I use FL, I know, it's wack as hell.

AND...recently, I've stopped sampling trying to 'compose.'

And trust me, I'm not a musician, lol, but i'm working on it.

I use FL... it's not wack and don't let anybody tell you it is. My brother uses Reason.

It HAS to be wack Pen. If you can just install and start using it, something HAS to be wrong with it.

I started with FL, and later I got a copy of reason and installed it and it was like trying to read Chinese.

I'm kiddin on the wack part, but that's what people say, you know.

I made some REALLY good shit though, and I've made really WACK shit. Really.

At the end of the day it's the user.

The ysay it cause they don't understand it. Dudes inthe industry use it and make money doing so...so it can't be but so wack. This lame ass A&R yo was tryna say something about FL. Im just like who are you again?? You are like 40 of course you are gonna feel that way. If its not big, heavy, cost a grip, and have a bunch of cords older yo's don't understand it or consider it a proper music tool. Just like when people say Pro Tools is the "industry standard" says who?? I could see in the graphic design field where Photoshop is the "industry standard" but in music there are so many different ways to record, mix and master music its hard to say that is the standard. But I digress

FL isn't whack all... I've been using it since 02, and honestly, I'd take that over many other programs... I'm still learning Reason, which is pretty tight, but I still prefer FL...

When I was livin' in TX I talked to this one cat who came real and was like Pro Tools isn't worth it... He told me about a few other programs that were better than Pro Tools... You're basically paying for the name...

On a sidebar though, Hip Hop Ejay is trash too...
