We are half way through the season and the O's are in 2nd place!  That's pretty amazing in and of itself.  If everyone stays at the same pace the O's might actually make the playoffs.  It'll be something cool to root for.

As much as I enjoy Brad Pitt as an actor this film was just ok.  The last 3 minutes of the movie shows why it was up for an Oscar.  The dialogue between him and his daughter was the best part of the film. The real guy that Jonah Hill played didn't want anything to do with the movie after the producers wanted to change key things in the story.  So ultimately what we have here is art intimidating life, interrupted by some made up shit.  This film made Billy Bean look like the greatest Dad and the biggest loser.  And that's fine I guess,  you just kept hoping that something good would happen for this guy.  When he gets a huge opportunity to move to Boston to work for the Red Sox he doesn't take it and other people use his formula all over the league for themselves.  Oh moral compass, it may have lead you down the wrong path Mr. Bean.  But who knows.

I've been in Baltimore my whole life and as long as I have been alive the home team has never won a thing.  Cal Rikpen Jr. broke Lou Gehrig's record and that's about it.  I've never seen the organizations as a whole do anything phenomenal, except lose.  I'd love to root for the home team even though watching baseball is like watching cheese grow mold.  To put it bluntly I'm trying to catch O's FEVER! I want to. I really want to.  I'm following the games, seeing who did what and to see if they actually won.  I know they always start off great, on a fantastic win streak then it kinda wears off.  But I'm hoping that this season they can at least make the playoffs and not settle for not letting another team in like that sucker move they pulled last season.  Weiters, Jones and Markakis make a good core and it seems like they have some decent guys as a supporting cast this season.  So I'm hoping that they can pull it out and have a great season and start a new chapter in the Orioles franchise.

Don't Tase Mre Bro Pt. 2

Listen if you call your Pop and tell him you're about to do something stupid and he tells you that its stupid....IT'S STUPID. People are now saying that they shouldn't have tased 17 year old high school senior Steve Consalvi for running on the field during a Phillies game. Well guess what? What if the Officer chasing him ran after him and wrestled him down and he had a knife on him and killed the Officer....now what??? A dead Officer, a parade and sadness all over. What if this guy ran out in 'the field and stabbed a player??? Then people would be saying "well why didn't they stop him.?" People need to choose the brand of justice they want delivered. Look at it this way, at least they didn't shoot him! This kid just got a dose of reality. It's against the law. Plain and simple. And bottom line is the law is the law. His father was later interviewed and said his son was wrong....then said that he shouldn't have been tased. That's like saying "yeah I know he broke the law but he shouldn't get punished for it."??? Ask Monica Seles how she feels about the situation.

O's Season has returned unfortunately

Come over here fellas come talk to me. You guys usually start off good and then start sucking, but this year you decide to skip the good part and go right to the part where you guys suck. 1-7 ???? 1-7??? You guys are the Detroit Lions of Baseball. I know why all the drunks go to the ball games...because that's the only way they can enjoy it. Every year people try to convince me that they have a talented ball club, but come on if talent can't win games than what does. They blame it on Peter Angelos, sure Pete doesn't give a damn about them but let's not blame him for the losses. Then a big deal about Adam Jones, then they run ads with him talking about he doesn't care about winning the Golden Gloves. Homie be happy you've won something because you def won't win anything here. Then an even BIGGER deal about Matt Wieters; sorry Matthew but your not the answer either. The Orioles haven't been good since I've been alive and that's pretty bad. Sorry sports fan looks like you guys weill be saying " wait til next season" again this season.
