The American Dynasty

Three Sovereigns and the Five Emperors (Sān Huáng Wǔ Dì) ruled China for 782 years.  That was the longest ruling house in China.  Every Dynasty ends.  Every ruler sees it's end.  Whether through natural causes or through a nasty takeover.  The Spanish ruled.  The Mayans ruled, The Aztecs ruled and America ruled / rules.  Think about the entirety of that statement.  America has only been established for 236 years as it was broke away from the British in 1776.   The years that followed America become the super power for manufacturing, inventions, business and health care.  It seems now though with China having more money than us and America owing China so much monetarily that America is on the decline.  America is the first one to be asked for help, military wise and financially.  And the first one blamed when things go wrong in those situations.

Between the political structure of the US, the declining value of the dollar and the super Corporate nature of America, I'm just waiting for the implosion.  I believe in the next 50 years tombstones will have corporations names on them among the names of the deceased.  Almost every sports Stadium is owned and named for a Corporation.  Corporations even have stake in election outcomes.  Comcast owns NBC, Disney owns Marvel and Google owns everything else.

The US dollar has seen a great decline over the last 20 years.   The dollar used to command a great return but now the Euro and Pound are dominant.  Jobs are down while drugs and guns are way up.  America acts as the Boss of everyone and can't even control itself.  We are about 25th in the World in education.  Our grip seems to be slipping in the areas in which we were once a force.  If we don't get a hold of things soon we just may disappear like the Ancient Egyptians, Mayans and Greeks.

Going Up

In my life time nothing has went down price wise, which is pretty astounding. The price of stamps...UP. The cost of pay phones doubled and payphones are almost extinct. The price of gas is up almost 400%. I'm sure the cost of living has went up greatly but I had no idea what things cost back then so its hard to gauge that. Interestingly enough, video games have only gone up 10 dollars since the Nintendo days. Candy bars seem to be high as hell. And the thing that sparked this whole post --- Bag of chips. Crazy thing is a 25 cent bag of chips is no longer 25 cents. It's about 88 cents for the same size bag! That's a more than 300% increase with no additional product. Milk is high as hell but I'm sure the cows aren't getting paid more. Seldom in life do people get a break, so for once I'd like to see the prices of things go down. In fact the only thing that has gone down are peoples' paychecks. America needs to get back on track. Back to when it was a golden land of opportunities and freedoms. Don't get me wrong it still has wonderful things to offer but the people are suffering and I know because they told me so.

Veteran's Day

Thank you to all the soldiers that served and that are serving the country. But I find it sad that we are still sending troops, American Men and Women, Fathers and Sons, Daughters and loved ones to countries too be delivered home in flag wrapped caskets. I SUPPORT THE TROOPS!! But I don't support the WAR. Some troops are on there 4th, 5th or 6th tours. How many times do you want these brave man and women to risk their lives and how much luck do you think they have?? Soldiers in other countries are losing their lives as well by helping us fight, but the difference is some of these countries aren't as fortunate as the US and don't have the money to get adequate battle supplies for their Armies to fight. The end result is many dead bodies lined up due to lack of funds. Why doesn't the US stop the space station projects for 10 years? They haven't had any progress since the 60's and spend Billions yearly on virtually nothing. Going to the Moon, fixing Telescopes?? How about using that money to save lives instead of a science experiment!

Welcome to Corporate America

As a member of "Corporate America" I have seen the ups and downs. And really, if your not a supreme ass kisser or a friend of a friend your screwed. They work you to death and pay you the least. And they don't expect you to be fine with it but they do what they feel as though must be done. Even if your working two jobs or have a family or whatever. Its like the unfunny version of Office Space. And there's like 5 Lumbergh's and 3 different TPS reports. Today I'm not speaking for me, even though I have those days, but today was for everyone else that has to put up with B/S just to get a legal check.
